Follis D. Bratton |
I submit Follis D. Bratton's (my great aunt's brother's) photographs and his obituary. I do not have much information as to his stay at Stalag VII A in Moosburg. I was visiting his sister in Bakersfield, California, and came across these photos. I noticed one photograph of the gate as the same photograph as one of his photos. I will speak with my Great Aunt to see if she has any information regarding her brother Follis D. Bratton's stay in Stalag VII A.
I hope that somebody may recognize some of the soldiers in these photographs and might be able to see their loved ones or even maybe see themselves.
I spent three years in Fulda, Germany, from 1979 to 1981 in the U.S. Army. I loved your country. It is a beautiful country with very nice people. My wife and I and our young daughter lived in a farmhouse converted to apartments in the lower portion of the house. The Oma and Opa and Karl, their adult son, lived in the rooms above. It was the experience of a lifetime!
